Bournemouth Championship Show 2018 Critique

PD (2,1) 1 Faircloth's Beardswood Uther RCC and  Best Puppy.   Beautiful head with dark eyes, he later won the head points for the club, Neat rose ears, fair front, but still needs more fill in of chest. Well ribbed for age, super behind. Light and easy moving. Very promising indeed.

JD (1) 1 Peach's Kilbourne Shrike Well grown with good bone. Very slab sided still, and does flatten out in topline too much when moving. Liked his head and strength of foreface, curvy quarters and in good coat.

PGD (3,1) 1 Finnett  & Heathcote's Hyndsight On The Run    Another nicely curved hound in lovely coat well presented. Correct height to length proportions, solid legs and tidy feet. Well bent stifles and low hocks. Pleasing head and skull shape. Needs more practice as he was carrying his head too low, and a little reluctant to move. Still young and has time. 2 Dukes'  Clanandwood Sun Sailor A nice sound dog who was untrained to show as yet. Coat needs to come out. Deep chest, well made rear, broad and quite strong. Fair mover.

OD (3) 1  Constantine 's Ch Kaleginy The Forester Sh.CM   CC    Lovely to go over, very hard and fit. Well muscled throughout. His front is set well under him for good support, with chest down to elbows. Ears too flat, and back skull a wee bit too broad, super strength in muzzle though. Holds his topline and has good width across the quarters, moved truly all round.  2 Finnett & Heathcote's Ch Hyndsight Desperado Not the front or muscle tone of winner. He too has a good body, holds his topline in motion, Powerful impressive rear. Just more upright in shoulders and weak around the elbows. very much a male which was good to see. 3 Peach's Kilbourne Lloyd.

PB (4,1) 1 Help's Beardswood Ulyssa Well grown, OK in head, ears a little flat, reasonable front. Good chest and length of chest for a puppy. Very long in loin which doesn't help her outline on the move, as she appears out of balance. Sound and very good behind. Super coat. 2 Spence's Shagiead Stormy Seas   I preferred her shape and outline, but she was very unco-ordinated moving, and could not match the soundness of the winner. Promising, with a typical head, good forechest, and correct topline.  3 Roberts' Ardlancien Hawthorn.

JB (5,4)  1 Wilce Quinton  & Quinton's Kilbourne Louisa Chick At Kirjojax  Feeling her front but I did not make her exactly lame, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt in this class. She hadn't improved by the challenge, so could not consider her further. Good body, deep enough, excellent coat, and she was beautifully muscled up.

PGB (6,2) 1 Constantine's Kaleginy Antheia   Sound and nicely muscled. Her head could be stronger in muzzle, and ears better rosed. Good front and forechest, Correct topline, croup and rear, She moved happily and with some lightness and strength. 2 Finnett  & Heathcote's Hyndsight Careless Whisper.  Curvy, lovely neck, front not too bad, but she could do with muscle over the shoulders and rear. Pleasing topline, well constructed body, good over croup to super quarters. Moves too close in front but good profile and rear movement. 3 Peach's  Ormanstar Queen Of Hearts To Kilbourne

LB (4,1) 1 Finnett  & Heathcote's  Hyndsight In Your Dreams. RCC.  This was my headache for the day, I thought this bitch could well be my best of breed after looking at her in detail and on the move. She is a high quality bitch, well balanced, pleasing conformation, nicely muscled and bodied up. Super behind and moves with some freedom. I hate to put the onus onto the handler but the yourg lady did everything she could to sabotage her chances.. She will have better days! 2 Morton and Morgan's Chuilinn Ballad.  Shows so well and also well muscled and conditioned. Unfortunately very long in loin, and flattens out moving. Liked her attitude and she has a super rear, as did most all of the Deerhounds here today. 3 Lucas  & Dargonne's Packway Little Loxley

OB (6,1) 1 Morton, Morgan & Constantine's Cotherstone Islay Mist At Kaleginy CC BOB +Gp 4       Maybe a little weak in foreface, but backskull and ears pleasing. Strong lengthy neck, neat and precise in front and forward movement. Great body and perfect topline. Super width across the quarters, In lovely crisp weatherproof coat, her body and muscle tone of the best. Happy on the move too, Pleased to hear she went onto group 4. 2 Aston's  Ardlancien Eiryn To Balgaled. Most lovely head and that real sighthound look in her lovely eyes. Neat rose ears, excellent ribbing and body. Good arch over the loin into drooping quarters. Moved well all round and was close up to the two winners. 3 Bailey's Ch Greyflax Lady Sings The Blu's.

VB (2)  Help's Beardswood Quintessence. The most perfect front movement of the day, with correct width and forward reach. OK in head and neat ears, strong neck, deep enough but could do with more spring of rib, Moved well all round and in immaculate coat and condition for age. A real credit to her owner. 2 Meer's Hyndsight Ripley Into Shagiead Also in good shape, has a good ribcage, and width across the quarters, Not quite up to the winner for lightness of gait, but for her age she is a treasure.
